Adam Hoyer is a public policy and campaign strategist. He joined the James Hoyer law firm in January of 2015. Hoyer has worked on multiple elections and several issue campaigns, including presidential and gubernatorial campaigns in eight different states. He’s held a variety of positions, including Field Director, Mobilization Director, and Get Out the Vote Director.
In addition to political campaigns, Hoyer has worked on key issue campaigns for healthcare, climate change, and stadium construction. Tireless and dedicated, his skills as a grassroots organizer and statistical analyst have proven invaluable to his clients. Research and data are the keys to Hoyer’s success.
Based in Washington D.C., Hoyer’s public policy expertise and understanding of the inner workings of government provide crucial insight for James Hoyer and its clients. He worked at the U.S. Department of Commerce for three years during the Obama Administration in a variety of roles, including Special Assistant to the Secretary of Commerce and Deputy Director of the Office of the Executive Secretariat. This provided important knowledge on a range of issues from economic development to technology standards to census data.
A proud native of Tampa, Hoyer graduated from the University of Notre Dame, where he was a member of the Big East Champion men’s golf team. He also holds a master’s in Public Policy from Georgetown University. He and his wife, an education policy expert, live in Washington D.C.
