Jonathan B. Cohen joined James, Hoyer, Newcomer & Smiljanich in December 2005. He was named partner in 2011. The focus of Jonathan’s work is handling consumer class action cases for the firm.
Jonathan originally began his career in the marketing arena, where he served as a graphic designer for Levin Bros. Paper and a project manager at Frankel Advertising in Chicago. In 2002, Jonathan entered law school and took a course on consumer protection. It was this course that ultimately peaked his interest in consumer issues and unethical corporate conduct.

Prior to that, he interned with the Honorable David A. Demers, Sixth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida. He is a member of the Florida Bar and the Hillsborough County Bar Association.
Jonathan graduated from Indiana University (B.A., 1996) and Stetson University College of Law (J.D., 2005). Jonathan enjoys spending his leisure time with his wife and young daughter.
