Jill Bowman - Partner

Jill Bowman joined James, Hoyer, Newcomer & Smiljanich in 2003 as a partner.  Her practice focuses on class action and civil litigation.

Prior to joining James Hoyer, Jill was an associate, then partner with the prominent Florida defense firm, Carlton Fields, where she was involved in complex civil litigation and class litigation.

In 1999, Jill was appointed by the Florida Supreme Court to serve as a Member of the Florida Bar UPL Committee, for the Sixth Judicial Circuit. In 2003, she was appointed a member of the Florida Bar Ethics Committee.

Jill graduated magna cum laude from Stetson University College of Law in 1995. Prior to that, she graduated summa cum laude from the University of Florida (B.A., 1992). Jill is a member of the Florida Bar, and admitted to practice in the Northern District of Florida, the Southern District of Florida, the Eleventh Circuit and the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals. She lives in the Tampa Bay area with her husband and children.
