James, Hoyer, Newcomer, Smiljanich & Yanchunis, P.A. is investigating Westwood College, Redstone College and their parent company, Alta Colleges, Inc., for fraudulent and deceptive practices and federal loan fraud associated with the operation of their seventeen campuses of for-profit colleges. Our investigation so far has shown:

• Intentional misrepresentations about the costs and fees
• Intentional misrepresentations about accreditation
• Federal Loan fraud forcing students and parents into loans they did not know about, lying about loan terms and conditions, encouraging students to falsify attendance records
• Inferior teaching and program quality
• Intentional misrepresentation about the transferability of credits
• Intentional misrepresentation about job placement and career opportunities
• Creation of an in-house loan at 18% interest rate without proper disclosures and without telling students about the loan
• Failure to provide documentation to students in support of debts with the school

We are investigating this information as part of a class action suit against Westwood College, Redstone College and Alta Colleges, Inc. on behalf of the victimized students.
