If you are a WellPoint Healthcare Member, your private health information and personal data, including your social security number, might be at risk.
WellPoint, a healthcare insurance company that provides insurance to millions of clients in the U.S., just revealed a major security
breach. More than 128,000 clients in several states are affected. WellPoint says, last year, the protected health information of these customers was not properly secured on two computer servers, making it accessible via the internet. There is no explanation regarding why it took WellPoint so long to make information on this security breach public.

This isn't the first time the company has exposed customers to a security breach. In March 2007, the company revealed 75,000 members were put at risk, because a compact disc containing their private
health information had been lost for a period of time.
