Advance Auto Security Breach

If you’ve been a customer of Advance Auto Parts, your private, financial information could be at risk. The retailer reported a security breach on March 31st that exposed the financial information of up to 56,000 people.

The James Hoyer Law Firm is investigating this breach and the growing problem of retail security breaches nationwide. If you purchased goods from Advance Auto Parts, one of our investigators would like to talk with you.

Fourteen stores in eight states, including New York, Georgia, Ohio, Louisiana, Tennessee, Mississippi, Indiana and Virginia, were affected by the Advance Auto Parts “network intrusion.” Advance Auto Parts did not specify how customer financial information was exposed or how access was gained to its network. The security breach is now the subject of a criminal investigation by state and federal agencies.

Consumer activists are concerned about the lack of safeguards for customers. Companies often do not explain the full risk customers face after a security breach.

If you are concerned your credit information was compromised at an Advance Auto Parts store, please fill out the contact form below or call 1-800-651-2502 to talk with one of our experienced investigators.
