Position: Associate

Sean Estes joined James, Hoyer, Newcomer, Smiljanich & Yanchunis in 2008. He focuses his practice on consumer class actions and civil litigation.  

During law school, Sean gained experience in both criminal and civil law by interning for the Honorable Peter K. Sieg of the Eighth Judicial Circuit and the Office of the State Attorney in Levy County as well as clerking for the Fine, Farkash & Parlapiano firm in Gainesville. On campus, Sean was a Pro-Bono Certificate Recipient and a teaching assistant for the Trial Practice course.

Sean graduated cum laude with majors in Economics and Political Science from the University of Florida (B.A., 2005) and cum laude from the University of Florida Levin College of Law (J.D., 2008). Sean is a member of the Florida Bar and the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida. In his leisure time, Sean runs in local 5K events and follows the UF Gators and Tampa sports teams. He lives in Tampa with his wife, also an attorney with the James Hoyer firm, and their two dogs.
